No hoist=No Care

In all seriousness, that's a monstrous fish. Isn't there a rule against switching with crew members to be an IGFA record? Can't imagine fighting something that size for a couple hours, much less 13.

state or igfa rules prohibit switching the rod/reel with anyone.. .

in fact nobody can even touch the rod. while fighting the fish.

this for sure. If it's in serious contention for a state record, I would keep it, otherwise tag and release with plenty of pictures. Unbelievable fish

Does that thing have any table value? What is the rest of the leaderboard looking like?

or someone that has no business keeping 800lbs of fish?? I've seen fish a quarter that size get tagged and released. I don't care what YOU do, but I just don't care for it to be honest.
