Not the best pic, but got this one texted to me this morning after a good rain last night. About 2' to go down at the spillway at the far corner.

Hay is in short supply this year for us. Every bale we have is going to feed cows.
I will say this, I'm pleased with how it's shaping up. I thought the far end by the spillway was narrow, but as it's filling it's rounding out nicely. I guess I was more focus on the bottom topography and not the full pool rim.

Where did you get them? If you don't have a hook up already for fish, Steven at Northwood Bait & Tackle/Sportsman Depot can get whatever you need.

I'll look into that, because we started talking about ordering other fish and the guy kind of circular talked us and never committed to really doing anything else. I realize I won't need any thing until next year, just trying to get on the books if you know what I mean.

The old pond had crustacions and snails, I assume since we left the bottom of it there should be some seeding.
If they get hungry enough, they may eat catfish food. Or they could die...

I'd love to have a white perch pond, but it presents it's own management challenges.
Just being a farm pond out in a pasture, I think a few channel cat is the way to go. Feed them the first year or so, and let the ecosystem do it's thing after that. Restock every few years if you are catching and keeping a bunch or have a fish kill.
