Please pray for my uncle, update

Update below...My 83 yo uncle tested positive for Covid today. He is in Our Lady of the Lake in Baton Rouge and he should be released tomorrow. He was admitted today and they decided to keep him overnight for observation. When I was very young he took me hunting many times, (my dad didn't hunt or fish and my uncle had all girls). He taught me to ride horses and I took that skill to the rodeo circuit, (which more than likely not a very good idea, but I had more fun and made more lifelong friends than I can count). Once when I was about 13 he took me to the horse race track in Meridian, Ms, little did I know I was the jockey. I got my arse thrown right out of the gate. Looking back it was all good. Hopefully he will recover. Thanks guys.
Update...I spoke my uncle a few minutes ago and he seemed in good spirits, but he would never let on if he was in a bad spot. I guess it's a generational thing. I reminded him of the trip to the racetrack in Meridian and we had a good laugh. I went on to remind him of the hunting trip to Woodville and he laughed. We traded notes on family and small talk. Neither of us wanted to talk of reality, but I'm hopeful, although hope is not a strategy, My aunt was finally tested today. We talked for about 20 minutes. I told him I loved him with all my heart and he said he knew that. I was tearing up and my voice shaking as we hung up. This shite is real, tell the people you love that you love them. Take care my OB friends.
Update, it doesn't look good for my uncle. His BP is low and he's dehydrated. My cousin took him to the ER today in St Francisville, La. they gave him fluids and meds, but his lungs look worse today than they did last week. He's home now.
On a lighter note, he still has race horses, I watched a replay from Delta Downs from Saturday night. His horse threw a jockey before the race and they had to get another for the race. The 2 yo filly reared in the gate and I said, "yep, that's his horse".

Yeah, I was the guinea pig with all young horses. A round pen or standard arena was an unknown. I rode them, or tried to in the pecan orchard.

My FIL used to take my wife to the track and bring her down to the paddock to pet the horses so she would telL MIL she went to the zoo.

He called me once during deer season and we had an invite so to speak to a high dollar deer camp in Woodville, Ms. The deal was, we were going to bring horses and hounds. My uncle had the horses, but he was a little short on the pack of hounds. He said, "Go to the dog pound in Jackson and get some hounds that look like they will run deer, put in the trunk and come to Woodville". I refused.

This is the type of uncle I aspire to be.

Sounds like an awesome guy. Uncles are a special bunch. I can attribute my first beer, chew, and plenty of other firsts to a couple of mine. I think about them often when I'm with my nephews. Gotta keep the traditions of coon peckers, shotgun plugs made of sticks, and an overall lack of fear and consequence going. Hope he recovers quickly.
