Washing the dishes and see this little guy eating sun flower seeds from my feeder. Guess he’s just passing through, but he sure was pretty.

I don’t usually get excited about this, but this made my day.

Sorry, it’s a rose breasted grosbeak.

LINK

I suck at posting internet stock photos apparently.

If one of you more web savvy fellas want to help a brother out, it’ll be appreciated.

I usually just have a few cardinals, doves, a dominant red winged black bird and English sparrows. This little guy was a welcomed anomaly to the usual diners.

We’ve had a few of these for a couple weeks. First time I’ve seen them in around 5-6 years.

I had one for 2 days last week just like last year. Two days is all I get. Always a single male too.

Had one male visit my feeder yesterday - didn’t know what it was and was going to look it up - now I know.

Pretty bird. I haven't had those visit this year. I saw 2 Indigo Buntings in my yard yesterday.

Haven't had any of those grosbeaks or indigo buntings yet. Saw two robins in my front yard today.

Grosbeaks haven’t been back since I started working on my back fence a few days ago. I guess they got tired of me and moved on.

They don't stay long in the South. I have never had one at a feeder more than 2 days.
