I wouldn't get the 3" If i were you.

Whats the purpose of the gun? My first 1911 was to collect as it was the 100 year anniversary of the design. I bought a Kimber. I shoot it from time to time but it has never been in a holster.
My Glocks and XDs get used and abused. Their finishes are faded and the scratches add character. They are tools. My Kimber is art.
Do you want a tool or art? Not saying that 1911s cant do both but Kimber and Sig are not equal in that aspect.

To me the sig handled better. The finish is better as well. It's also smoother. Its a sweet shooter. Again, this is jmo. Get the one u like the best.

I want a 3" for my CC.

It will do that just fine. Others do it better but the 3" 1911 will do it fine. Name one other gun that has been around for over 100 years and is still on the same level as the 1911.

Yeah, I would prefer the 4'' to the 3''

I would advise the 4" for CC. There have been reliability issues with the 3".

I believe that most of the problems have been fixed and they were only present with very aggressive HPs. Not saying that its okay for that to happen, but it was a specific problem that could be avoided.

M2 .50 cal. Also designed by John Browning.

I have 2 4" .45's already. They just seem so big when I carry them.

I wanted a colt. They had one last time I went to this place bit didn't have the cash. That's what I really wAnt.
Then get what you want. With Gunbroker, Gunsamerica, Auction Arms, etc. there is really no reason to rely solely on your local gun store.

Some other choices if you're not completely sold yet:
SR1911 commander
SW1911SC (in my opinion the sexiest 1911 out there)
SR1911 commander
SW1911SC (in my opinion the sexiest 1911 out there)

Did I say one? I meant two.
But you are indeed correct. But I also guarantee you that there are more 1911s than M2s out there.
