Got any recent pics of the pond? Curious to see how it looks now. Thanks!

I don't. But I will get some soon.

The water has turned a nice green from the chocolate milk it had been. Our catfish went from fingerlings when we stocked last December to solid 1 pounders. Almost whole fryer size...

Funny you posted this thread. The biggest news I got was yesterday.

The guy who built the pond stopped by to check it out. He said he was impressed by the color and how well it was holding water. That's when he hit us with, "If you'll just pay the gas, I'll come back down, knock over that last tree and shave the corner off to bowl it out. Shouldn't take more than a day, and a couple hundred in diesel."

Left of the red line is what he'll dig out.

That was what we wanted all along, but he drug up 2 days early and 2 grand under budget. I suspect he had another job, but now he's looking for more work. We told him to get to it.

Pic of the catfish...

Why not leave it as is? Just curious.

Make it bigger.

That’s what we envisioned all along.

I've heard my wife say that before, but she wasn't talking about your pond.

Looking good, Clyde! Thanks for the pics and updates! I think I would leave that tree and that point, though. Gives the pond more personality and a change of shoreline structure. That's just me, though!
