Anybody doing anything specific to protect their motor from the cold next few nights?

Looks like some good stretches in sub freezing temp each day.

Didn’t do anything last go around but for some reason thinking maybe I should this time.

What ya say?

If it hasn't busted open yet you're good. We had many days below freezing so far by our standards.

Trim it down and let it ride

ETA: put the trickle charger on if you have one

Drop the lower unit down. Then pull the safety cord and crank it over a little to push any water out it.

I trimmed mine up and down to make sure water was drained and double checked my trickle charge.

I trim all the way down and put a light with a 100w bulb next to lower unit.

Another tick is to active a couple of hand warmers and tape on lower unit and wrap in blanket.
