Opinions on Daniel Defense PDW pistol. Worth it?

I was just minding my business at the LGS and they had a Daniel Defense PDW pistol and man it sure was a sweet handling firearm. Could only imagine it with my suppressor. But I wasn't a fan of the pricetag course everything seems to be $1900-2000.
Do any of y'all have any experience with one or similar PDW? Pros and cons? If obtained what to avoid and what is good to use with them? Did you find it useful or more a niche and range toy? Any good instructors teaching training classes around Baton Rouge and Hammond that allows PDWs?

You can build one with good quality parts in 300BO for $1200. I have a build and had the DD PDW. I sold the DD.

What did your build consist of and what you didn't care for on the DD? Any issues with that type of PDW?
