We have a central parking area that gets use to many of our stands so the deer are used to seeing sxs in that area. Some stands are 500 yards and others are 200 yards from that spot. We also have an electric sxs that we use when we feel like we’re going into an area that is close to bedding or known bucks.

I’ll add there is a huge difference in Louisiana/ Mississippi deer and Texas deer as well as how much pressure is put on them. That’s probably the biggest factor.

When it gets real muddy, it can be difficult to walk in. If I ride, I try to go at the same time another hunter is going that will drive past my stand. That way, they think the bike kept going.

Doesn't matter. Deer will figure out when you come and go.

That is the man issue with our place. It is very undisturbed and the deer, especially bucks, bed close to the road.

I like to have someone drop me at stand and leave. But have driven and parked at stand and walked in from a long way out. Last year seen a coyote a bobcat and a bear come down the same lane all 30 minutes apart. An hour after the bear 3 does came out. Get to the stand anyway possible and stay there.

I've killed two deer this year with my bike parked next to the stand.

Pretty sure they mean 4 wheeler, but this forum is the only place I can think of where I've seen that

It's extremely common around here. People know they're not bikes by definition. But it's a lot easier to say

I park my golf cart right by the stand. See deer all the time. Shoot a trophy once a year.

I leave my bike at home 200+ miles away, and walk 2 miles in, 2 miles out.

My stands are near a gravel pit for a timber company, I drive about 50 yards past the gravel pits to get out of the dump truck's way and walk about 300-400 yards from there to my stand. They are used to hearing trucks so mine is probably no different to them.
