Yep Ike thought he was in. The Marshall sain “it hasn’t updated” he took that to mean he was in. 15 seconds later it did and he wasn’t. This is fun to watch, they’ve created a whole new game. The last 5 minutes of these elimination rounds are must see. Can’t wait to watch tomorrow

Agree. It’s pretty tense those last few minutes, can’t imagine the pressure they are feeling.

Those last 10 minutes knowing you are within a couple pounds of making/missing the top 10 has got to be nerve wracking. I'd of loved to have seen Bobby Lane catch a 4 lber in the last 30 seconds to knock Ike out, but at least someone knocked him out. And how sweet would that last 2 hours of been to have a camera in the boat with Dustin Connell.

It looks like sponsors are really pushing a commercial strategy with this new format.
Every single pro, as soon as the camera goes live on them, is making sure you know they couldn’t have caught that fish on anything other than an Abu Garcia Revo STX, or a Favorite rod, etc etc.

all in all I will say I liked it better than I thought. Scoretracker needs work... they want to advertise it as realtime then in needs to be realtime.
Sometimes it would be 5 minutes before it updated.
Coverage was biased towards some anglers but that was expected.
JT Kenney really gets on my nerves but other than that I liked it.
I still think I prefer a 5 fish limit format better.

Yea they weren't in the boat with any of my "favorite" anglers so that kind of sucked. Got exposure to some new ones though and picked up quality tips.

I don't mind him mostly. Problem is when you're, what, 7 full days of coverage? It gets really repetitive. Felt like all he did was say the same things over and over. Natalie (aka my future wife) felt like an afterthought and I thought they had some legit good questions come in from fancast and they needed to use it more. This event was pretty much the best JT is going to get since, as we all know after watching this, this lake was his backyard.

I have enjoyed MLF one of dad's good friends is Marty grew up fishing together and dad did a bunch of outdoor articles on him. He was telling us about it a few years ago and we never thought it would take off like it did. Always go to a big dove shoot with Marty and his kid in September. His kid can freaking play some baseball. Enjoy watching him announce.
