My boys flipped the Rhino yesterday afternoon. My youngest son (8) cut up his ear pretty bad. Needed a lot of stiches by plastic surgeon to fix it. Everything else was negative (ct scan). He's a Tropper and according to surgeon his right ear should heal fully.
Lessened learned for taking UTV's and helmets for granted. Still suck to my stomach on imagining of what could have been.
It took over 50 stiches inside and out to reattach. I would post pics but they are pretty graphic.

Glad it wasn't any worse than it already is. Prayers for quick recovery.
I live in a small town and know everyone. January 2010, in fact, it was MLK day, because there was no school, my friend's wife was watching their kids and their oldest son had a friend over for the day. The friend wasn't experienced with 4 wheelers, and neither had a helmet on. They weren't supposed to be on the road. Of course, they wound up on the road with the friend driving. Kid lost control when he got a little off the side of the road in some gravel, and they went thru a barbed wire fence.
FWIW, they both lived miraculously, with the friend taking the most serious injuries...nearly decapitated and had to be life flighted to Jackson.
Long story short, I have two boys...10 and 8. All their friends have 4 wheelers, but their friends parents have been instructed by me that they aren't allowed on them. I hate to be that parent, but the only way I want them on one is if I'm with them.

Good to hear they are alright. Pretty sure every kid has wrecked an ATV or UTV at least once. I know I had several times that could have been a lot worse when I was little.

Prayers sent. Glad it wasn't worse than it was. I flipped a 4wheeler years ago and just came out of it with some burns on my leg and some scrapes, was def one of the scariest moments of my life. Good luck your boy, he'll be just fine.

My buddy in high school had his ear cut off by a horse and they put it back on. It looks like nothing ever happened to him.

Glad to hear he's ok. A friend of mine flipped his rhino (pre doors) and his 5yo nephew got pinned under it. Broke his pelvis and femurs. I did the xrays on him. He's fine now.
