Get a piece of steel banding strap about 12" long. Sharpen both ends to a sharp point. Fold it in half inside a big piece of round steak and tie it up with some cotton twine. Throw it into the lake where you're seeing the gator. He will swallow it whole. When his gastric acid dissolves the steak and string, the spring steel will open and puncture his stomach, eventually killing the gator.

I believe the movie was "The Savage Innocents", circa 1960. Or maybe it was Nanook of the North, circa 1920. Anyway, the polar bear died.

UPDATE: The Nuisance Gator hunter was successful this past Saturday morning. I was out of town but I'm pretty sure ole boy hooked him on a treble hook with a weight.

He is being "relocated far far away". Aka nuisance gator hunter t-bob is having blacked alligator for dinner every night this week.

When I talked to him on the phone he had a list of nuisance gators in neighborhoods that he had to "relocate" in his spare time. He seemed like a good ole baw and told me if I could catch him it would be one less on his list

The gator ended up being every bit of 6 feet long.
