My son & I scouted turkeys this weekend in preparation for youth weekend in a two weeks. We walked close to 18 miles. Found plenty of fresh sign. Heard a couple hens yelping, even saw a couple of turkeys. Didn't hear a single gobble...

Still a little early yet. Should be sounding off in 2 weeks hopefully.

Still early but it’s been pretty warm and everything is blooming. Should have been a good weekend.

It’s been warm but it’s also been dreary. That plus having plenty of hens this early isn’t gonna have them setting the woods on fire.

Hope you guys are right. The tag he has is for weekend after next. Saturday am was real foggy, rest of the day was really windy. Sunday was not quite as windy, but very hazy & humid. Even broke into spitting rain. Not ideal gobbling conditions. Just curious if anyone else is having different experiences.

It's early early still. What you experienced is what should be expected.

Hopefully on youth day, if yall get one going, the others will see your truck and go on down the road some; leave yall alone.
