I've been slowly fixing the little things on mine. Doesn't seem like a new one will ever be possible

Whatchoo suggest?

You are on a lake in Alabama right? You don't need a saltwater/ bay boat? There's so many options these days its hard to help someone choose what they prefer.

I'd look hard at a bay boat with a large front deck that has cushions and back rests. Or look to get them added. Adds places to lounge and sit when cruising.

Do you have a T-Top or Bimini? Add one of those for sure or find one that has shade.

Paid 21.5k for a 2001 21' Kenner Vision with a 2017 Yamaha 200 in late 2017. Pretty positive I could sell it now for 35k. Insane

OP, I'd look for an old hull with a newer motor.

look and be ready to pouch, I bought three boats early covid to end up with 1, but enjoy what you have because it’s a freakin mess right now

Yep. I was casually looking for a year+ during Covid and couldn't help but just laugh at some of the BS prices. Saw 1 listed locally about 2months ago and called the guy within 2hrs of it being posted. He already had 4 others wanting to see it. I was the first one there and made a deal before leaving, but got it for what I think was a great price. It's crazy out there for sure.

What are some post 2000 hulls that you'd consider lifetime hulls?

Try LA Boat Dealer in Metairie
They will sell your boat on consignment. Also have some nice used boats for those interested in buying.

Davinci in Laplace also. Can check their website. Avoid Boat Yard. Here's a Sportsman for $44

They are. The website sucks though. The dealers get them though. I see them on the FB frontier group. It's what I have and I bought mine for $21k at the start of Covid. Worth close to $40 now. It's insane.

They quit making the rolled gunnel models. My only gripe.

the years bentz built triton lts are good for a repower. they have aluminum backing plates under deck and ss thru hulls. gelcoat can be buffed back to a shine. not a fast hull but is seaworthy.

Hold on, you got a 22 frontier for 21k 3 years ago? I thought they were ballpark 40k even back then.

It's a 2012, motor had like 150 hours on it. Suzuki 150. Would like the 200hp but can't be picky, when I repower maybe. I think the guy selling it didn't realize the boat market was exploding. Had people lined up after me to look at it. I messaged him within a few minutes of him posting it and drove right there and bought it all in a few hours.

Thanks. I’m running a 16p now on a 19’ Blazer, seeing a top end of about 38. I can live.

If I were you, I’d consider reporting to a 150hp and making all the improvements you need. You’ll basically have a new boat at that point. Sea pro is a nice hull.

FYI Blazer Bay went all composite in 2002 I believe. Before that there was wood, I believe in stringers only. Several people that know their shite told me Blazer Bay did it correctly, so nothing to worry about. That has proven true for me.
