For all of you DIYers and Industrial workers .These are the only way to go now. No need to worry about misuse and 3 pts of contact. I love mine.

This one is probably a little more in the range of the DIY crowd for ladders, but that one does look safe

That much, I'm hiring two guys from the Home Depot parking lot to come home and hoist me onto their shoulders to do the job...many times.

I've got 2, 4, & 6 foot step ladders, 18 and 24 foot extension ladders, all Werner and all together would not cost as much as one of those.

I am going to disagree.

I am a contractor and use ladders a lot - I have tried everything. I have a couple of Little Giants and Werners that are far too heavy and cumbersome - that ladder is going to be heavy (I don't see the weight listed). It is also going to be top heavy and topple with someone in that cage. I also don't like the idea of being trapped in that cage as I hit the ground, I would rather be able to jump free and break a leg as opposed to my skull.

Cage has wheels to roll in to position. If you can’t get outside the flair it will never tip the over. This base is wider than stepladder. If as you say you work on ladders frequently then when working upside of something you turn ladders sideways to get close and you are in pitiful position on step ladder and practice no 3 pts on contact . This eliminates that This is rated for 375 lbs and approx 25% more $ than comparable step ladder. Industry is buying them in loads for safety reasons. I have the 4’ platform height only 55# not bad at all

Go look at the ladder racks most contractors use, that thing won't fit. Industries are buying them because OSHA and liability mitigation. I'd go rent a small electric scissor lift for anything that required more than what I already have.

We have a few like that in the plant that extend and have stabilizers on them. Dam near takes a engineer to figure them out.
