IMO, huge swing and miss. Looks like it should come with pics of missing children and 800#’s on the sides.

I like the way it looks, and the short wheelbase + good approach and departure angles, but I know it has too much technology for my tastes.

I was surprised at how small it was. Granted, I saw one of the "soccer Mom" editions, but I figured all of them will be built on the same size frame.

Skip the rusted out rear hatch.

Get you a 91 k5 Silverado blazer. 350. 4wd

Outside badass look with the upgraded interior.

Ford Explorer on steroids? Really doesn't do it for me. Have a white OJ one have been trying to get someone to sell me for years now. Ask every time I see them.

Everybody keeps looking at the Sport, which, IMHO, is an Escape with Bronco tags.
The BIG Bronco will be sorta badass. I have a reserve on one, jury is still out on whether or not I'll build one. I may wait a year. I actually would be better served getting a new pickup.

EDIT: You can get a fairly "stripped down" version, big model, 4 doors and go from there. Towing capacity is not as strong as I would have liked.

Nope, the escape is a front wheel drive, sideways engine POS. They are not similar. If you are going to do any serious off road stuff, shorter wheelbase is better.

The things that I don't like about it, I doubt that a straight shift is available and it only has a 23" fording capability, I'm sure that's because of all the computer crap that's on it, and electronic sensors. I had a 75 bronco, that had a 302 in it, unlifted, I use to take it through 30" deep water on the reg. I did drown it out once, but it was just a matter of spraying the distributor and plugwires with wd-40 to get it going again. If you drown out one of these new ones, I bet you will have big problems. It's probably a great vehicle for desert mountain areas though where you do a lot of climbing and crawling.

I stand corrected, I just read up on the bronco sport, and IMO ford screwed the pooch. They should have just made a shortened version of the new Bronco for the sport model. The sport model will be a real piece of crap.

That’s the new 4 door squished to 2 doors. I mean an F150 sized 2 door. Like OJs was.

I think the full sized is going to be bigger than people are expecting, seems most are thinking 4Runner or Wrangler sized but from a few pics I've seen online it does look near F150 sized. I'm expected the full size to be pretty close to F150 size. Bronco is listed at 79.3" wide, the F150 at 79.9" wide. I wouldn't be surprised if they eventually release a Raptor version Bronco as well.

ETA: Didn't realize it was the Ranger platform, I thought they were based on the F150 platform.
