Checked online and the 2 I found for BR were not free. I will pay if necessary but would rather spend the money on other maintenance.

Like others have said, if you find a local bee keeper they may remove them for free so that they can keep the bees

I have a bee removal guy in St.Tammany parish but he charges to remove them and would most likely charge extra to go to BR

This is not very likely anymore. My dad does bee removal as a hobby in Florida and has a list 11 long right now and it was over 20, he charges $300-400 each depending on the distance and scope.

Eta: most pest control companies have a bee removal person they refer people to.

call their bluff and just tell them nevermind ill just spray wasp killer on the hive. Might change their tune real quick considering most are very conscious about saving the bees.

Completely random story.

Growing up, my friend's dad wanted to kill off an ant hill. So naturally, to show off in front of his kids and their friends, he dumped a good amount of gasoline on it.

Lit that sucker on fire and realized fast that the ant hill was the tip of a pretty elaborate system with several other entrances and what not.

That fire got big and spread in unexpected ways quick.

I have the same situation. Do not want to kill bees and do not want to pay some joker to do it. Look at you tube videos. Bee mask/hats at very cheap on eBay. If you open up the area where the bees are, they will leave. Will open the cover they are in after the hurricane passes. Oh yeah, I am going to have my son do it.
