Need a 24x20 shop slab poured in Denham Springs. Anyone have any recommendations? They will have to buggy the concrete down my driveway.

Buggy or use a pump. Anyone have experience with using a contractor that used a pump?

Closer to 9yds on a 6" slab and if it's a shop I'd definitely go 6".
Pumps are expensive but beats the hell out of piss anting it in buggies.

The pump rental would cost more than the labor if they used wheelbarrows, rent a couple of Georgia buggies and move it that way. Pumps are not cheap in any way shape or form.

Shouldn't be that bad. We poured our slab last summer and they had to buggy 10 yards of concrete about 50 yards from the street to my back yard. I think it end up costing me about $250 more to buggy it.

ETA: A pump truck would have been much more expensive from what I was told

My 63 yr old dad and I poured the slab for my shop our selves. One buggy ($100) and we moved 4 yards into the forms in less than an hour. I realize you have more concrete, but rent two buggies and get a buddy to come over and drive the other one.

A few bucks a yard, a prime charge around $20 and around $150-$160/ hr with 4 hr minimum

No need to, normally the delivery driver will run the buggy. Really if you running it on a driveway 1 buggy will do it.

Also you don't need a 6" slab for a shop, thats overkill. Unless he tearing down and rebuilding bulldozers but IDT he'll be doing that in 24x20 shop. A simple woodworking shadetree mechanic shop..... 4" is more than enough.

Go find the driver of a pump truck and make him a deal he can’t refuse, or Go to home depot and grab a couple of messicans for the labor part and rent about 5 of those carts and you will be done a lot quicker!
