15' drop

Wasn't possible to retrieve without dropping his boat down in the water last night in 30mph winds, and thats if I could get to it before it sank.

lot of good items were lost but mostly was overkill

I rarely fish fresh water if at all.

Help me put together a compact tackle box(recommend the box/bag as well)

sparkle beatles
hooks
jigheads
leaders
sinkers
etc etc

also broke my St Croix rod tip in the hurricane proof grating

good replacement ?

medium power light action preferred

1/8, 1/4, 3/8 Jig heads (yellowmouth or golden eye are my favorites)

Variety of soft plastic colors (matrix or Highwater)

Few mirrodines

Topwater (she dog)

Vudu or Berkeley rattle shrimp

Cork of choice (I like 4 horsemen for extra weight to get it out there)

Gold & silver spoon

Redfish spinnerbaits

3/0 kahle hooks with 1/2 egg weights for c-rigging live bait if that’s ya thing.

I have a few extra tackle bags I can give you if you are in the Metairie area. Also, on the replacement rod, what's your budget? Casting or spinning?

Saw these rods were half off today Castaway Skeleton V2 don’t know much about them but I figure they’re good.

I feel like it’d help a lot of people to purge all their stuff they accumulate over the years. Always end up throwing a few different lures but have a box full.

Buy a heavy duty magnet. Put it on a rope and bet you could get most of it back. Google/YouTube magnet fishing.

Plano

I have a Plano like this that holds three trays. Its compact which I like because I mainly fish off of friends boats so I'm not lugging too much gear as a guest. I keep my tackle in bait specific trays so I can change them out and just bring the three trays I need that day. Also it has plastic buckles so no worries about zippers corroding shut from salt water.

I also have an old Okuma one that I'd be happy to give you. Trying to downsize the stuff I don't use and I'd hate to just throw it away.

It was dark and it was floating but starting to sink as I watched it go away in 3' seas

Such a shame. I lost all my ARs and extended mags in a similar incident.

I can help you with both. I have some extra tackle bags and boxes I can give to you for free. As far as a rod, I have a Duce 7ft Rod I never used that I'd let go at a steep discount. 7ft med. fast spinning.

You don't have to buy the rod, but I'd still give you the free tackle bags if you want them.

Where are you located?

Dont know much about the rod, but curious/ interested.

Ever make it out to the Honey Island range?

Gotcha, I couldn't tell if you lost it overboard or off you buddies dock. Looks like the former.

I will only comment on the fishing rod. Get a Penn Battalion that is rated for the type of fishing that you are going to do.

I'd probably just try to put it in a Styrofoam box.

I have lost one of my tackle boxes when I was younger

It’s St Catherine’s. Just walk out and get it.
