In the 0.5 HP range im stuck trying to choose between Weston, Meat!, and LEM. Wife keeps poking fun at how long it is taking me to decide.

Finally ordered the meat 0.5hp. The 25% coupon wouldn't work and they said it was expired so I emailed them and they are giving me the 25% off still. I did order the weston from overstock like 2 weeks ago but got an email a few days later saying it was cancelled and out of stock.

Where did you originally find the coupon?

they had emailed it to me when I first signed up for their newsletter, looks like they just changed it to 10%.

I would email them and see if they will honor the 25% coupon.

I wish I would have seen that 25% earlier as I’m about to pull the trigger on one since I have 6 butts in the freezer. Looks like 10% is all they’re doing now. Feel like I can’t really ask them to honor a 25% code I never got...

Either way it seems like a good deal. Mines arriving tommorow.

when I was considering the Meat! grinder it went to the 10% off and the meat25 code took 15% additional off. It looks like the most they will let you get discounted is 25%.

I ended up ordering a Weston Butcher 0.75 HP from Guidefitter. $345 shipped.

Just tested out the meat .5hp grinder. Appears to be very well made. Went through a deer roast in a few seconds.

Good to hear as I Just bought one. I’m sure I’ll get a stuffer down the road, but for now the attachments that come with the grinder will have to do.

Anyone ever used a meat grinder attachment for a KitchenAid mixer?

I have one it it works ok if you're just trying to grind a small piece of meat for burgers or something, but I can't imagine doing a whole deer or pig with it.

The stuffing attachment works very smoothly and not too bad for 1 person. It's a little slow going but worked well.

And on the pellet grill. Made about 5 lbs.

I really want to just go buy all sorts of stuff and make different sausages all day. It's fun as hell.
