My front yard (St Augustine) hasn’t really grown much, if any.

Early April I put down Certainty herbicide to kill some Kyllinga. Kyllinga is still there.

A couple of weeks later I put down some 30-0-3 fertilizer and preemergent (Prodiamine 65 WDG). That was right before that last cool spell.

When can I expect it to start growing?

My St. Aug was pretty brown until the last day or so. It started to green up and I put down some Bonus S over the weekend.

Everyone's st aug has been delayed in its normal growth pattern because of the hard winter and for some the hurricane last year.

Apply something with iron like Milorganite and then in a few weeks hit it with synthetic fert again. Mine is growing but I did a lot of what you're doing 3-4 weeks ago so my guess is you can expect something similar in the next few weeks

Should I hit mine with a weed and feed or fertilizer again?

Lucky bastard.

But when I weed n feed with my st aug, I find that I cut maybe half as much. I think it’s just cause the st aug doesn’t grow very fast. The weeds, on the other hand...

Disclaimer: I have zero knowledge if what I just said is correct. Just my observations.

40 degree nights really don't do much for it growing. This week with 80 degree days and lows in the 60s you should see it grow

Until it regularly stays above 60 degrees at night it won't grow well.

My St. Aug isn't growing either and I weed and feeded over a month ago. What should I do now? I don't want to burn the grass.

Weird weather patterns in Alabama have caused mine to go crazy too. We had some odd warm days back in late February and early March, with some warm rain a few afternoons. Felt like late Spring. It started growing and I had to cut it a couple of times. Then we got some cold spells, almost down to freezing, off and on for a couple of weeks. I didn't cut it for 3 weeks, and the only way you could tell were the clover weeds had sprouted up. I mowed 10 days ago, and it is just now starting to show some of the weeds again. I can still see the lines from the mower in the grass.

Mine is just now starting to kill off some weeds and turn a little green, and I used Fertilome weed and feed on about April 10.

Weather hasn't been conducive for much...especially Bermuda. Looks like I haven't done shite at work with how the ball fields look. The cool stress has ugly seed heads popping up all over.

I had that attitude until the weeds broke through and they grow 5x as fast as the grass. Until the grass wakes up and gets some decent coverage I’m gonna be fighting the weeds and it’s far worse than mowing once a week.

My St. Aug grew more in February (when we had that warm spell) than April.

Now that we're hitting 80's, and the humidity is up, it should start growing (St. Aug is a tropical grass).

I started watering this week, because it's bone dry.
