Everybody knows my hunting situation and how its a "brown its down" club soit def an no I-O-Way buck.

Had duck hunters right on top of me all morning. About 945 heard deer crossing a slough. First a big doe and 2 yearlings, then a doe and spike then the 6pt. The does scattered after crossing and the 6 just stood there surveying the situation. I figured he'd bolt soon or wind me so I took a shot through some thick stuff and missed and he just stood there. Bolted another in and he stepped forward and got drilled perfectly. Staggered about 30 yards and was done. Looked around and a doe was out about 75 yards broad side. Figure I might as well try a head shot and to my surprise she dropped. Caught the back of her neck right behind her head and damn near took her head off.

Thrilled to have these deer. I had fun hunting them and will get just as much enjoyment cooking and eating them.

That's a good problem to have.

Worked for a contractor at Exxon and all the guys that work with my dad kept quoting Roadhouse saying " I thought you'd be bigger". So yea, I get that a lot

ETA: My genes come from Thibadeaux and Livonia. I'm lucky I made it past 5'5
