Mole Crickets
How do I get rid of them without setting fire to my entire lawn?

re: Mole Crickets
I think a better idea would be to train them to target and eat torpedo grass.

Fipronil works and for quite some time. Pricey is the only drawback.

re: Mole Crickets
Funny story about those things...
I absolutely hate squishing bugs. Makes me a little bitch, but moving on.
I had one of those electric flyswatters from harbor freight. I had just put fresh batteries in it when I saw a mole cricket in the house. I hit the button and touched it to the mole cricket. That mf exploded. like with a loud pop and everything. Had little pieces of it everywhere. I think I'll just squish it next time...

I hunt them down. Listen for them in the evening with a bottle of soapy water. Trace the sound and you’ll find a fresh dug hole about the size of a dime. Pour the water and wait for them to surface. Your choice on how you want to dispose of them.
