Minox or Nikon Binoculars?

I’ve owned for a few years a pair of Nikon Prostaff 3S 10x42. Wife bought me a pair of Minox BV 8x42 BR for Christmas. Unaware I already had the Nikons.
A) I don’t know much about binocular brands/qualities/etc... Are the Minox way better, a little better, same, worse than the Nikons?
B) I hunt deer/hog in fields 150yds in. My Nikons, when I use them, are just fine. I do go on a prairie dog hunt once a year and those distances can get up there. I’ve done fine with the Nikons...I guess? Ha!
C) I don’t think I need two pair of binoculars. What say you?
Bottom line...trying to decide if I keep them or exchange them for something else because I don’t need two binoculars. What do you think?

Minox glass is great value for the $$$. Look through them at dusk, dawn, and daytime to compare real world/first hand experience. Let your eyes decide. Here is a link on Bino specs Minox BV 8x42 if you can’t tell a difference go get you a store credit

Man,you are a minimalist.I have,I think,10 binoculars.They’re none of them real expensive.My most expensive is a Leupold 7x42 that I paid $300 that is my main hunting binoculars.I have a 6x30 I keep on my golf cart,old Redfield I keep in my boat.One is a 10x50 if I hunt pipelines,.
I actually have a 7x35 Nikon I bought at Navy Exchange in 1971 that I keep by back door to look at birds and critters, they’re still very clear.
I have a couple of Bushnell constant focus for the grandkids, they were only $40 or so.
Point is I wouldn’t have any problem having 2 pairs, especially since they’re different powers.

Thank the wife for upgrading your glass.

Minox is very nice. Their top end scopes are incredible. Glass quality is very good. Keep the minox.

I gotta plug Steiner here. Best binocs I’ve owned, not really that expensive, considering the quality.
