OK - I posted a while back asking about Argentina hunts but since the country is closed to US citizens for the foreseeable future I am pivoting.
Anyone have any recs for hunting South of the Border. Want to take my son on a father son graduation trip this summer. Was looking at white wing late in the summer but they have some interesting hog and coues deer hunts and the season sortve fits into our original plans.
Anyone have any experience with reputable outfitters down there and can make some recommendations? Or maybe a hunt fish combo?
Any help would be appreciated - we are running out of time.....

When I travel hunt, I use 2B Outdoors. It's owned by a Federal LEO and one of his partners. They do a good job of vetting and researching different outfitters. And the guy at the other end pays the fee, not you.
That's about the only advice I have.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but this is from the U.S. Embassy in Argentina...

Per the latest Argentine government policy, most foreigners who are not a resident in Argentina, including U.S. citizens, will not be permitted to enter Argentina; the U.S. Embassy is not aware of an estimated end date for this travel ban.

The response I got from the outfitter went like this:
"I am sending information about our hunting packages and prices. Please see attachment.
Right now our country is locked down and we don't really know when it is going to open. I think it should be next year....."
I then researched and got the exact same as noted above. Its actually blocked from both the US and Argentina side.
You may have booked a hunt for 2022 and not know it. Good luck.
That said, thanks No Colors I'll try that route.

No Colors
Sent them an inquiry but looking at their website it looks like most of their hunts are domestic US. Wait and see what comes back I guess.....

The hunt was supposed to be for December 2021. I sent that to my dad and he is getting in touch with our outfitter. We paid an $880 deposit per person for the lodge already.

I haven’t personally gone, but I heard good things about El Chapparal Ranch. Monster mule deer and coues. No idea on prices, but probably $$$$. Pretty sure they have plenty of videos about them on YouTube if you want to check out what the hunting is like

Go to south Texas. Basically the same thing. Plenty of good outfitters and you don’t have to worry about crossing the border etc.

Yeah that's later than my time frame. They are probably waiting to see what happens and if its still closed they will kick the can on you to 2022. Problem is.....they have been doing that since 2020. I would imagine there is quite a queue by now if everyone isn't cancelling. Possibly going to make it difficult to book a hunt for at least a year or 2 - more Covid pain in the arse.
What I keep wondering is how the local farmers are doing with all the extra doves. No outside hunters has got to tip the ecosystem. It has got to be giving them fits.

Do the dove have historically high numbers there or is this similar to how our farming/urban sprawl has increased the deer population higher than back in the gap?
