Looking at heading out to Rigolets in next few days. I have been using the Fish Brain App for wind/weather /waves, anyone recommend another source? Fishbrain is showing some strong waves next few days which would post pone me going.

I use WeatherBug and here in LC it’s pretty accurate for wind/time.

Windy is hands down the best resource. I rely on Windy for my job and it rarely gets it wrong.

The apps do a decent job, I use Windfinder Pro.
But for a LOCAL forecast, use these two in tandem for that area:
Lake Pontch and Maurepas

Lake Borgne

Whatever you do, don’t ever rely on a regular land area forecast for your fishing winds in coastal areas. Talking about Weather Channel app, Accuweather, Weather Underground, etc, they will severely underplay the wind intensity out on coastal waters.
