Wins like this for the good guys should be publicized more.

Agree 100% 4.
And yes, screw the SOB's that were videoing and not helping the cop.

That sad part is that the guy will probably have to defend himself in civil court after the perpetrators family goes after him.

I don't carry on my body at all but I have my Shield to and from work because I work in the shitiest part of Mobile. My firearm goes from my bag to my console into my desk and back to my console. Everyday. Prichard is not to be fricked with

No, he was asking the shooter to shoot. The shooter shot 3 times, walk a few steps back and dropped his gun. He has a CC and the cops already said the shooter did the right thing.

I wonder why he dropped his gun like that. seems kindof like a dumb thing to do. Congrats though for helping the officer out by ridding the world of scum.

Yep, but they probably were not armed... It sure took the backup cops a long time to respond. When seconds count...

Probably knew the perp wasn't going anywhere and was emotional/in shock about having to kill someone. He didn't seem very happy walking away.
Or, didn't want to get shot holding a gun when backup arrived.

I'd imagine this was the case. Any man with a conscious would/should feel similar after taking another life even if they are completely within their rights and the person shot is the lowest scum of the earth. You're still extinguishing a life. That's heavy shite.
And from his body language after dropping the gun makes me think that's what was going thru his mind.

Most likely because once he shot and hit, the officer was getting up and it probably would feel uncomfortable to hold a gun by an officer. i would feel very uncomfortable holding it, however, i would not feel uncomfortable protecting the officer

If you're the shooter (good guy) standing there drawn on that guy, are you shooting center mass or do you go for the kill shot (headshot)?
The cbs video looked like he shot 3 times. Can't imagine missing in that situation being drawn and a non-moving target.

I've got mixed feelings on that. On one hand, it's shitty they didn't help. On the other, they did help provide video evidence that this guy was justified in shooting the guy.
