Looking for Cypress posts

Making a bed for my son. I have plenty flat boards for the head/foot, but need posts (3x3 or so). Would like it be close to the same roughness and shade as the boards (pic below). Need some OB help. Willing to pick up within reason around Lafayette. THANKS in advance OB.

Check out Cypress Beams and Things off choctaw in BR. Might have what you are looking for. Nice guy, good prices.

I’ve used cypress beams and things before to install cypress posts at my house. Guy did great work and prices were very reasonable

I made a table using cypress and simply glued up two 2 x 4's to make the finished 3 x 3 legs. But I can see your dilemma with using pecky cypress for your project. I used rough sawn stuff that I planed down to size, but it was clear stock to begin with.

Yeah. Even considering building the frame out of 2x or so and using the Cypress as facade pieces.

not sure of the name, but I bought some cypress moulding from a place near General Mouton a few years back. They had all kinds of wood. I'll try to find the place
