Looking for a decent shotgun Choke

Remington 1187 12 gauge.
2-4 shot 3 inches.
Mostly hunt marsh.
Duck hunting.
Not super long range but wouldn’t mind having the ability for some range.
Any suggestion on what type of choke to get?

Hard to go wrong with Briley.
If you're asking for recommendation on restriction - hard to even guess w/o knowing what you'll be shooting at and distances, and loads. Maybe improved mod ???

In the long run it is far cheaper to find the shell you like and back into a choke that works well with it. I'd decide on what shell you're goin to shoot for 10 years and then find a choke that patterns it well. Carlson and Briley are the standard. Grab a few of those and see what patterns your preferred load the best.

I just ordered a set of Carlson's Cremators. $100 for a mid and long range tube. They are the Rogers exclusive, mud brown cerakote. They have ported and non-ported options. .725 and .715 constrictions. I just got them so I haven't really had a chance to pattern or hunt with them.
