My dad bought a Troy-Bilt 27 ton, 5.5 hp Honda from Lowes back in 2011 and it's split everything we have cut with no problems.

Nope.

My buddy gave me an old Montgomery Ward 10 1/2 ton that the motor was locked up on. I bought a 6.5 hp at Harbor Freight for $89 and put on it. The holes lined up perfectly, only took like 30 minutes to completely swap engines.

It's only a 10 1/2 ton and it will split anything that will fit in it.

Not mine, but looks lust like this one.
