Live Shrimp near Leeville

Can someone give me some assistance?
I have no problem getting them in the warmer months, and have no issues finding them at other places this time of year, but not near Leeville / Golden Meadow... I don't get it.
Is there somewhere I don't know about?
Not at Goo's, or any bait shop around Boudreauxs in Leeville...
Edit: cocahoes are great, but I much prefer live shrimp.

Fourchon will be your best bet. I gave up on finding shrimp in Leeville there either out, too big, our the boat is broken.

this time of year the only shrimp in the marsh are small almost grass shrimp. the cold fronts push them out offshore.
tl;dr - good luck

This time of year you are likely better off with cocahoes

Don't rule out dead shrimp as well if you don't want to fish artificial. Especially if you are going after reds.

You probably don’t want to fish live shrimp inside leeville right now...
But you can try terry’s

Most shrimp that size are offshore
Minnows stay in the marsh and is what most fish are feeding on

I think i read trout go from 80/20 shrimp/finfish to 20/80 as there feeding ratio come fall

because its duck season and all those ponds and lots of area is leased. we had problems with people fishing in our ponds last year while we tried to hunt. fish where you want in the summer, don't frick up our duck hunting.

I caught a few nice specks on dead shrimp in Point Aux Chene, you really don't need live shrimp. Also the hard heads are mostly offshore so you don't really need to worry about them.
