limits on some fish need to be raised

they should double the limits on redfish and drum and bring the reduced limits on specks in big lake area that was supposed to create more trophy size fish back up to 25 but they never will. all the reduced limits did was decimate the food stocks with over abundance of school trout so that is now all that exists there
they could have verified proof of over populations and they would still never raise a limit on anything.
wildlife "management" is only about restricting things and has nothing to do with proper management based on science. science data proves the over populations of reds and drum are decimating oyster and crab populations to the point of dangerous levels that cant repopulate some areas yet they wont do anything to increase the numbers of those fish people are allowed to take.

I think the limits are fine as is. I believe the harsh winter last year has had more of an effect on the fish than the decreased limit. I don't think I have caught a speck under 17" in my last three trips to Big Lake and a bunch over 20".

Ah, I guess it's time for this monthly thread again.

I think the limits are good as is.

You couldn't catch 15 on the lake now so 25 is just dreaming.

I think they need to be lower than 15 to be honest. Florida has was 5 fish limit? 14” minimum? I dont know about you but I can’t eat 25 fish per week (I fish once a weekend, therefore you can trust my opinions). It should be 5 fish. Redfish are bigger, 5 is good. Maybe 3.

Damn it baw, he swallowed it

Nah. I’m good with 5 fish limit on reds and drum. Doubling it would just allow professional guides to decimate their numbers until everyone struggled to catch a legal red/drum or 2.
I’d be fine with lowering deer limit to 4 per season statewide though

Start a thread about outlawing bow fishing... that’s what needs to happen

As far as redfish goes I think it should be any size, 5 fish limit. Hate throwing back a 14" redfish that's been throat hooked and I know is going to die.
