I live in North Alabama and the Bermuda is still dormant and I want to put down some stuff now to retard or stop the early weeds. If the weeds get a hold on the yard first the Bermuda has a hard time coming up early on.

Should I be using a glyphosate or what?

Thanks.

Generic barricade

Not a bad idea to use a low rate of glyphosate to kill what is there now. I would apply the Resolute around mid to late Feb.

I’ve used Lesco pre-emergent as well as Scotts. Can’t tell any difference. Get weeds every year. It’s a never ending battle if you have shade trees near the Bermuda. I was much happier when I just mowed my old lawn of weeds (Crabgrass) before going to Bermuda.
