Being that the boat launch is closed at lake martin, does anyone know if the lake is still accessible to kayakers?

For those who fish that lake these days, do they still have a shitload of huge alligators out there? I remember back in the 80's and 90's there were some monsters in that lake.

I fished it back then. April was the best month for me but I caught bass pretty consistently into early June. Once it got real hot it was over.

Like mentioned there's a kayak launch at Lake Martin that's open to the public. Follow the road all the way down, past the normal boat launch. When it comes to the end you can walk down the levee, it's about 100' down on the left.
And yes, there's still some massive gators in that lake.

Is Lake Martin going to become THE freshwater hot spot for kayakers due to low pressure?

There was 150 FLW boats on it all week.
