Lake Borgne Duck Migration Report

Launched at the Rigolets for a fishing trip to the Biloxi Marsh today and we stirred up a massive flock of ducks on both crossings (to and from). I'm pretty sure they were teal.

These pictures are just a small sampling of what we saw. There were ducks as far as the eye could see. Thousands, if not several tens of thousands...

Whole lot of Pouldeau there...

Really can't tell but they like to get in big pods in the Lake P.

My brother told me there are tons of teal down that way a couple days ago. Very few big ducks.

You can zoom in on the bottom two pictures and clearly see it is ring necks.

I’ve seen similar in middle of lake P. Rafts of 100s of thousands of ring necks. Just sitting out in the middle. Chilling.

Found about 2 thousand grey ducks in one pond off of intracoastal by st. Catherine

I've seen them rafted up on Lake Verette like that before...
