Lake Athanasio or Lake Anastasia... Hopedale?

All maps show Lake Athanasio but hear many people call it Anastasia. What does everyone think?

I have always heard it called Anastasia. Caught plenty reds off Mosquito Bight point back in tha day.

Man, people don't know where they are fishing. Does it matter what it is called, it is basically mostly part of the MRGO now anyway. It still is Athanasio, you know that is what it is suppose to be since it is a good ole historic Catholic name and Anastasia is something Disney would come up with.

I fished for over 50 years, and most of the locals I have been around called it Lake Anastasia. In addition, most people say Lake Eugene as opposed to Lake Eugenie.
