When I disengage my PTO it still acts like it is engaged. Any ideas?

Acts like or is? It will spin for a short time due to momentum. Does the dash light indicate it's still engaged? If so clean all around the contact (area where the handle sits against while not engaged).

the L3xxx series Kubota's have lots of issues related to PTO... Anything from being really jerky when engaging to stuff similar to what you're seeing. Take a look at tractorbynet.com and see if those guys can help.

When there's nothing hooked up I'm assuming?

It's pretty common for them to still turn when they don't have any load on them. If it's still spinning a bushhog with the clutch disengaged than obviously you have a problem, but if it only does it when nothing is hooked to it I wouldn't worry about it.

And it's still turning the bushhog?

Is that a two stage clutch tractor?

I have the same issue. It didn't start till after the warranty was over. The dealership said its a major repair. I just deal with it always going.
