Anyone know when they plan on reopening the launch? I know they are dredging it out, which was very much needed as you could only launch out of one of the lanes last summer, but why would you close the launch down in the summer?

Was out there 2 weeks ago. Facing the launch, only the one on the far left was closed. Had 2 boats launch, so you should be good

Yeah Bonnabel works too, just love the connivence factor for when I get off work in the summer Kenner Boat Launch is about 5 minutes from the house and the parish line canal is about a 5 minute ride from there.

I must correct the previous post about the launch being open. I live close by and went out there this morning. It definitely is NOT open. There is a dredge working right out from the docks. Also, there are barricades on the entrance to the back downs & there is a string of buoys across the entrance to the lake.

Wait until May to address the boat launch.
That dredge sat out there idle for 2 freekin weeks
Is it working now?

I have only drove by during the evenings so I dont know if it is running. They have a flat boat siting on a trailer and that (I think yellow) dredge piped out to that little cove area to the west.

No idea if they are working during the day.

What’s biting in parish line canal? I usually catch some nice crabs this time of year

Crabbing is good. But honestly just a place to get out of the wind if a summertime thunderstorm rolls by.
