Kano Labs Dryphite
Anyone seen this product in any gun shops around Baton Rouge? Came across it on a gun forum and someone from Belle Chase said it was available down there.

TIA.

Nope - same company, different product. This is a spray-on dry graphite lubricant.

My company buys stuff from Kano labs, thinking it’s the same place. I’ll look into it and see if it is and if I can get it.

GB,
Like you I've been using Kroil to clean rifle bores for many years, but I've not heard of Penephite. Educate me on Penephite.

re: Kano Labs Dryphite
Penephite (Kroil with graphite) can be purchased by the gallon for $55. Share the cost with a friend and it will last you 25+ yrs. I store the Penephite liquid in a small 2 oz. brown glass bottle with a dropper.

When dirty, I clean my rifle bore using a mixture a 2/3 Shooters Choice and 1/3 Kroil. Run wet patch through bore and let soak. After bore is clean, I use several drops of Penephite on a clean patch and run through bore several times. The graphite acts as a lubricant and fills the cracks and imperfections in the bore. It has similar effects that Moly (molybdenum sulfide) did back in the early 90's. Slight increase in velocity with less powder due to the lower friction coefficient.

GB, Thanks for the tip. I'll see if I can get some buddies to go in w/ me on a purchase. For 25 years I also used the same mixture of Shooter's Choice and Kroil until my plastic squeeze bottle gave up the ghost and developed a crack. Recently I've ben using "Wipe Out" for the grunt work and Butch's Bore Shine for the finishing touches.
