Man this is tough. She had been with me through some dark times in my life. I quit hunting her at 6 because of her hips but she was tough as nails. Made every step me and my dad made around our farm. She was hell on cats but loved all the kids. Your hips don’t hurt any more Boo. See you on the other side.

Dang. That's rough.

We just watched A dog's purpose this am. Great movie, but a tearjerker.

Sorry for your loss. Have done this a few times myself. Always difficult. No better friend than a dog.

I've buried several pets over the years and it's never easy. The only thing I take to cling to is they were out of their misery due to illness or injury.

This is always tough. But you gave her 12 good years and she gave you 12 GREAT years.

Buried my 12 year old lab 4 years ago and it stills hits home at times.

It’s life’s ultimate cruelty. Man’s best friend but they live 1/8 of our lifetime.

Worst thing to think about now but get another one and begin your love for these great pets as soon as you can. Each one is different and will give you memories that you’ll cherish for as long as you live.

I had my wiem for 16 yrs. RIP "Steel'

That was 3 years ago. Just last week was I able to contact a breeder and inquire about another.

OP, life goes on yet your memory will always have Boo at the top. Get anyone of her best pics and send em to one of those sites that will make a photo book for you. Its awsome to have to look at occassionally.

Amazing how in the darkest of days, we are usually blessed with the most loyal dawgs Having buried some great ones - it stings, it's supposed to..... having one vanish on a hunt has been much tougher on me.
