Holster. I think I even said “best all around” which for holsters includes materials, concealability, comfort, price, retention, ease of use, etc.

I’m off to check out the two new suggestions, including yours, thanks.

Uncle Mike soft case. Those hard plastic holders are garbage.

I use an Uncle Mikes with my Glock 23, and actually really like it, I just don’t carry that often with it, because a Glock is like a damn brick one, and two, the holster I have has an extra pocket for another magazine.

This CZ is going to be my more “carry friendly” pistol, so I’m looking for slim, sleek, and solid retention without a strap. So I’m looking pretty hard at the kydex holsters.

The kydex holsters are not garbage as Captain Brannigan put it. Just the opposite.

Never had a kydex, but it’s looking that way. Most of the real leather ones are spendy or suspect, and most of the soft ones fail to mention anything about retention, with no visible strap to keep the pistol in the holster. I guess with IWB it’s a little less important, but I still want something holding the pistol where it is supposed to be.

Anyone have experience with We The People holsters?

I browsed there earlier. Most of it was some pretty crazy looking stuff. Alien gear has a good name in my circles, FWIW.

For IWB I prefer leather. Trying out a new one made by Kusiak Leather. Seems to be good quality and the price was reasonable.

I've got a shapeshifter for my Beretta. It is comfortable as hell because it's got a breathable neoprene back and it conceals fairly well, but it's bigger than my Kydex holsters. I use it from time to time when I want to carry my Beretta, but I tend to like my smaller Kydex holsters with some 1/8" neoprene stuck to the body side for added comfort.

I don't carry pistols with manual safeties, so leather and cloth holsters are right the frick out. I need that trigger 100% protected by rigid materials. I also don't want a piece of cloth or leather sneaking into the trigger guard while I'm holstering that can get at the trigger. So, personally, Its only Kydex or some other kind of hard plastic for my holsters.

One really nice thing about the Shapeshifter, though, is that it goes from IWB to OWB to AIWB like it ain't nothing. I have a separate Kydex for each of those positions with my other pistol. It is also very adjustable for carry height, cant, position, etc. With Kydex, you typically have just the one position and height and that's it.

Just make sure it has a reinforced mouth if looking at leather.
