Didnt see one started so let me know if I missed it.

In big woods on fresh sign with acorns everywhere. Stuck a big doe yesterday evening but lost blood. Possibly hit her high in no man's land. Will give it another look late this morning just in case. In the meantime. looking for something with a decent set of horns.

Good luck all.

Temp mid-40’s light wind
Box blind at the intersection of 2 roads
.270 M70

Threw some rice bran in the road on the way out last night, looks it got hit pretty good. Saw 2 spikes last night, otherwise, nada. Warm temps and a full moon aren’t the best conditions, but you go when you can go.

Headed out in a few.

Montgomery County Ohio
34 degrees
7-10 mph ESE wind
PSE Surge w/NAP Thunderheads
Trying out my new saddle for the first time

It’s bucks only for the rest of the season on public land so hoping to spot one. I’ve seen 10 deer on the last 2 hunts here but I wasn’t close enough to see if any of them was a buck. I’m setting up close to where I’ve been seeing them.

I could honestly fall asleep right now. I’m in a leaning tree and I’m pretty damned comfortable. But I need to have a better process getting everything set up.

ETA - I should have fallen asleep. I didn’t see anything, but I should have expected it since the wind was working against me today. Lesson learned. I need to hunt my locations based on wind. I could have easily went to one of my other spots but I was stubborn.
