Ground blind in creek bottom.
.280
Haven’t sat this spot in weeks

Had a doe and one other deer right by the blind when I walked in. They ran about 100 yards and waited till I climbed in. Just heard them walk by me so guess they weren’t spooked that much.

Good luck everybody unless you’re me neighbor. Then I hope you shoot plenty pigs and coyotes

ETA: 47 degrees is optimal temperature for the mature 5-6 yr old mosquitos apparently.

Just shot at my first deer with a recurve. It was not pretty. At least it was a clean miss.

I think I got deflected by a branch that I thought it would shoot under. I should have let him walk a little bit further but I was afraid that he’d be quartering in too much.

Had a spike come by at a fast trot, nose to the ground. Must be on the trail of that doe from before daylight

Low 50s, N wind, mild gusts
Green patch
7mm mag (yes, a mag)

Been gone 2 weeks, and still have too many hogs and neighbor still has a damn cow and calf loose eating my plots. Guess they don’t like what he planted.
