Sherburne wma
49 degrees, 1-2mph wind
6.5 creedmoor

Hunting a bottom with a lot of tracks in it. Deer are probably walking through at night but it's worth a shot. Probably going to pass on a doe if one walks out. Really want to kill a buck but I'm doubtful of that happening.

How is that 6.5. I been thinking long and hard about getting one. Did you kill any deer with it yet? If so how is the wound channel?

I love it. I've killed 2 with this creedmoor and I have a 6.5 Grendel that I haven't killed anything with yet. The first deer's insides were pretty bad off. I didn't see the 2nd deer because I gave it to a friend that needed the deer meat. The 2nd one had a pretty small entrance and an OK exit wound, I hit her a little far back. Both deer only made it about 30 yards from where they were shot. I don't really hunt with my Grendel because I have a trijicon 2.5-10x56 on my creedmoor that's ridiculous so I always bring this gun. Might trade it out for the Grendel tomorrow though.

Sooooooo what are you waiting for? The trigger is the little curved lever towards the bottom of the rifle.... Pull it backwards.

A young buck blew in and chased everything out, there was a nice mature 11 point in here I'm gonna let me cousin blast if he comes back out.

I would've smoked him when the crosshairs were on him. That deer would set records where I hunt though lol

And lsu smash, I love my trijicon accupoint, especially in low light. Gives you a little dot (mine is green) in the middle of the reticle that runs off of fiber optics/tritium, so no batteries or blur from being too bright. It seems like the go to scope for the OB is a swaro though. If you plan on shooting past 300 yards, get something that you can adjust with turrets. I don't know what gun you're planning on getting but mine is a weatherby vanguard s2 and I'm happy with it. Had one in 257 weatherby, sold it, regretted it, bought this one in 6.5.
