Hunting shows have everybody thinking they can shoot 50 yards consistently
Posted on 11/3/13 at 8:25 am to A_bear
All that shite you said about nerves, broad heads , and TARGET proves my point!!
Live deer AINT a target.
You should have shot those broad heads a hundred times by now and shouldn't be any question in how they fly.
NERVES is another reason to not just turn it loose at 50 and hope you hit something!!
Shut up while you're only labeling yourself as a young hunter with verrry little experience,,,, or keep on talking, doesn't matter to me..

OG - take another sip of coffee and calm down brother.
Shots on whitetail over 30 yards are stupid. Deer react faster than an arrow can close 30 yards. At 50 they won't even be in the same spot when the arrow gets there.

How was that event you attended last night?
The big must see event will be Dec. 11th. I will be there with a few surprises.

What difference does it make to you if I hit the fricking deer or not? You're not going to go hungry because I missed. And yeah I'm a "young bow hunter with little experience" sorry I wasn't born being the best bow hunter in the world like you but you don't have to go around being a fricking prick to people you don't even know.

I just hate when people do this, that's bad enough, but when they talk about it to real hunters,, think how that fuels the non-hunters agenda... Stupidity at apex.

Settle down, the both of you!
Don't make me take my belt off. It is Sunday morning and we don't need all that language this morning.

The problem isn't missing. It's hitting bad and not recovering.

Prick? You should ask some pricks if what you did was as cool as you seem to think.. Keep talking dumbass...
Never mind, don't talk, practice, out of a tree on your Target, Ask a few more pricks some advice and learn.

Calm down there fella. He is just trying to say that you can't hit an unpredictable, moving target consistently @ 50yds because there are so many factors involved that screw with a flight path. It just is impossible
Then, you make a shitty shot and frick the deer up only to have it run a mile away and die. Could've been some meat for either you or your buddies if you would have let her come closer, but she is wasted now. Most hunters are meat hunters first and prize hunters second, and you just blew it. Just look how many people on this board are truly upset when they can't find a deer.
Eta: We aren't trying to jump on you. Just trying to guide you to make better decisions on what should be done since we have been doing it for many years. Being an outlier is wrong in this situation

Because you owe it to the game that you are hunting to be proficient with your bow. It gets old reading the "shot a deer, can't find it" threads. shite happens and sometimes people lose deer when doing everything right, there is no reason to be wounding animals when doing things the wrong way.

Fantastic!! Huge turnout! Lotsa good folks eating, sipping and tapping toes with the band...
Were your ears burning? I heard a few people whispering bad things about you and I immediately confronted them and said that they were not gonna talk bad about you,, unless I could join the conversation!!

What he was trying to say, and what he said were 2 different things apparently. There's a right way to go about giving advice and a way that makes you look like an old a-hole. If the deer would have came closer I would've let her but she started out close and by the time I pulled my bow up, nocked an arrow, and drew she was at 50. So I stopped her and took the shot.

Yeah, I couldn't make it. I worked late Friday and then slipped over to my camp to stack the odds in Lil Josey's favor for the youth hunt coming up next weekend. Josey wouldn't let them talk too bad about me I know!!

There's more than 40 people that know me on here,,, I don't think any of them think that I have trouble saying what I mean... You screwed up,,, learn from it, or keep doing what you did that really helps the sport..
