This place is terribly dry. We need rain badly. Saw a decent Axis buck in here 2 weeks ago. Hope to get a shot this time.

re: IST 11/22
What ammo did you end up going with?

We ended up with handloads of RL 19 (I think about 76 g) a compressed load with 250 grain accubonds...between me and my buddies rifle it is 4/4 on moose including 2 booners and a black bear

re: IST 11/22
Norma oryx 230gr. It shoots them really well and nobody has much to choose from right now.. Killed a doe yesterday with it and it was awesome. Hammered the shite out of her but no blood shot jello meat everywhere or anything. It was much cleaner than I expected. Gonna have a hard time not using it all the time now.l

I bought some RL17 when I got the gun thinking I was going to need to make some reduced recoil loads but it doesn't kick bad at all. I think ill use some 250gr accubonds with a case full of RL19 or 22 once u get around to loading for it. 26" barrel so it should scoot them out pretty good

48* and humid. Real chill in the air
Box overlooking field and planted road
30-06

Made it out here at 5:30 but nature called. Forgot a roll of TP and had to waddle back to camp. Wouldn’t you know on my walk back to the stand I ran two does out of the field. Learned a life lesson today to never forget the TP.

re: IST 11/22
They went through both the deer I’ve killed with them this year like butter. Neither went further than 20 yards. No complaints yet other than the price

But I like that you can reuse them forever if you know how to sharpen.
