Is This Birds Tearing Up Crops?

Just got in a new deer lease that happens to be in a pretty good duck/goose flyway with little water around. There's a place down the road that has some decent sized ponds they use for irrigation that I don't think anyone bird hunts. Looking at it on maps online it looks like something is tearing up their crops and I'm wondering if it's birds.
If it is birds doing the damage I want to go ask for permission to hunt the place and pitch it as doing them a favor to try to avoid paying for another lease. I know the crops on the left side of the pond in the picture is wheat, not sure about the crops on the right. Just wondering if anyone has experienced birds tearing up crops and could verify that's what's going on below.

Looks to me like drainage points from the fields into the ponds. Water probably backs up through the culverts and stands in the field a few days after big rains either killing or stunting the crops.

Yep, what Clyde said. Definitely looks like hold water and stress or kill the crop.

It would be a good place to go sling a few decoys after a big rain if you have permission to hunt the fields but not the ponds.
