Intro Compound Bow selection

Any recs for a relatively inexpensive compound bow (target for now, eventually hunting once my points are built for a good unit) with the following specs:
Draw Length: 28.5-29.5"
Draw Weight: 60-70#
AtA: 28-30"
Price point (without arrows): $350-$450
Certainly open to the used market, but new would be sweet. I just want to become very comfortable and focus on correct form before I shell out for the larger sum brands.

You can get a used flagship bow for that price if you look at the classifieds often. I would wait and try to scoop up a good used name brand bow instead of a cheap new one. Just my two cents.

Diamond. One of the adjustable ones are fairly easy to set up.

If this is your first bow and you really want to learn correct form you probably need to start out with something a lot less than 60-70 lbs.

You won’t get in to anything new worth a shite at this price point. I’m not saying $1000 is worth it for a bare bones Mathews. But you will still need to outfit any now. Pse stinger comes ready to shoot and is a good entry bow but it’s 450-500 new. I’d look used.

2 things to mention:
1. I don't know this for sure, but I've heard supply of new bows is really down right now and its driven the used bow prices up so you may get a lesser bow for more money right now.
2. If you're as new as me, it'll be worth it to go somewhere (I recommend Gotham because they are awesome, see my other thread on archery help) and have them measure you and everything to make sure you get something that is optimal for you. They definitely aren't one size fits all. I bought one not knowing much about how to choose and I got lucky because mine will work, but its not the best fit for me. If I had it to do all over again I'd get help from a pro to make sure I make the right purchase.
Edit to also say, making that contact at Gotham or a place like it may also help you find a used bow. A lot of shooters in there and maybe one mentions to Ken they are looking to upgrade and you can snag one that way. I bought from a friend of a friend, but I paid 600 for my setup.
Best of luck. I'm right there with ya at the beginning

I had an elite hunter several years ago, and it was a 70# draw and felt easy enough to pull. Let off was 75%. I was working on the road and needed to lighten my travel pack haha

I bought a used PSE for $100. Shoots hard and accurate.

If you previously owned an Elite Hunter, why not try to find a used Elite Z28, Hunter, or similar model bow for $300 and go from there ? 60 lbs is all you need and buy a "hunting bow" and not a Target bow. I love my Elite E35 with insane letoff

The elite ember ready to shoot combos are a very flexible cheap entry set up. If you buy a bow used make sure it has everything on it. If you find an old flagship bow for $300 you can easily put another $300 in a sight, rest, quiver, and then you don’t even have arrows.

Good deal then. When I read the OP I thought it was going to be your first bow.
Hope you can find what you are looking for.

I see a wicked cheap deal for a full setup on a Diamond 320 (out the door for $550 with arrows and a little goose trigger), but I'm thinking of going with PSE or a low/intermediate Hoyt. Might as well spend a little more money on the front end is kind of the vibe I'm getting from the bow shops I've visited.
You know what they say, buy once cry once

I bought my first compound bow 2 weeks ago. I have only shot a bow once before when I was 13. My budget was the same as your.
I researched for a couple of weeks and decided to go with a Diamond infinite edge pro. It’s fully adjustable and meets all your criteria.
I’ve only shot it a couple of times so far, but it’s been pretty solid and accurate. There was some adjustments to level but that was done at the shop.
I’m at a 29 1/2 draw length and starting at 50 lbs of draw weight until I get a consistent form developed.
