Looking to finally bag some hogs a friend and I have been feeding for the past month. They seem to be coming out at midnight. We're trying to figure out a way to see them and we're running out of options. We were thinking infrared scopes but the local Walmart doesn't carry such things.

We're thinking going old school and just spotlighting them. I figured since they're considered nuances, it'd be okay but the outdoor Alabama website doesn't really speak on it. Anyone here know for sure?

If you do, I would notify the Alabama Wildlife and Fisheries and let them know.

order a kill light to hang on your feeder
it's a green light that will allow you to use your scope or irons but won't spook the pigs

It is illegal since it still considered a game animal. The way to do it legally is to get a Wildlife Management Permit from the game warden. That's how we are able to hunt at night, using bait, lights, etc.

We talkin' two legged or four? If two, you'd better have a good battery.

Mack, have you had good luck in using it? Would like to eventually get one if I can find somewhere around BR to do some night time hunting

You can get a hardship license from the wildlife dept. As soon as turkey season starts they become invalid for some reason. Talked to a game warden about this last weekend.
