In other words, taking $ out of the equation......which "high end" (KUIU, Sitka, First Lite, Nomad) jacket + pants set would you choose?

Your it doesn't get any better than this - comfort, warmth, fit, durability

Assumptions:
-200/400g SmartWool or similar merino wool base layers
-Whitetail hunting LA/MS/TX
-50% ladder stands, 30% climber 20% box

I’ve bought a bunch of badlands recently and it
works fine. Hunted 6 days this past week and most of the time it was raining and I stayed bone dry.

Only buy it when it’s around 50% off.

Everything I’ve gotten from kuiu is really well made but it’s mostly for hot weather stuff.

I’m very happy with my Pnuma gear but it’s more for nasty cold weather. I needed something made more for walking and mild conditions as last week in Texas even though it was cool I was sweating to death walking for miles in it. Kuiu had a big sale and I picked up some pants, a vest, jacket, and shirt. All light stuff that I can layer properly.

Sitka. I have a good bit of stuff already and plan to buy another jacket, bibs and gloves this week. People love to hate on Sitka, but I haven’t met anyone who has it that doesn’t like it.

You didn’t list them but I have a set of cabelas wooltimate pants and jacket. That combined with merino wool base layers is a perfect match for tree stand sits in 20-30s . My set is somewhere between 10-15yrs old and I don’t have any need for a heavy set but based on how much I like the firstlite wool base layers I have bought I would look at there sanctuary or solitude set.
I like having a heavier than need set to wear since a lot of times I walk in with a climber and keep my jacket off and don’t put it in for an hour or so after I start cooling down.

Kuiu or first lite depending on what piece it was. I dont pay attention to the patterns at all. Most of my stuff is solid color. I just buy whatever is the cheapest one. I guess if it was free I'd get some of that cool looking digital stuff.

I have some moderate priced camo, some old camo from walmart, and some free Delta Waterfowl jackets.

Prolly get downvoted but I've killed more or as many ducks and deer in cheap camo than expensive. To each their own though, and if money is not an option, I'd just get drake or banded.

I find it funny I saw that NIKE SB is making Mossy Oak hoodies and jackets. Definitely made in China, but alot of stuff is these days.

I'd go with First Lite. My deer kit is 100% First Lite and it's great. It's a lot more comfortable than Sitka deer kits and it is warm. First Lite's merino is also a lot better than Sitka's. I prefer Sitka for waterfowl/wet weather.

I have First Lite merino light and heavy bases, a synthetic waffle fleece, Solitude jacket, and Sanctuary bibs, plus a merino gaiter and a brimmed fleece beanie. That gets me down to the 30s and 20s without any issue.
